Its All About those FEET

FEET.
.
.
They hang on the end of our legs and ankles and often we do get all about them. We don’t stretch them, we rarely do targeted strengthening and yet we use them more intensely then any part of our body. .
I broke my big toes last year and the difference in my balance after they’d recovered was immense. Why? Because I had considerably flexion and mobility. .
Engaging the foot increases the engagement of the leg - helping balance, inversions and overall performance in your body. So become aware of your feet and begin to use them more! .
.
Here are some fun examples of how you can add foot stretches and strengtheners to poses - and thanks to @davidkamkw and @adellbridges for inspiring this and always talking about how important your feet are! .
.
NOTE: be very careful when trying toes flipped in down dog. Go into it from cobra keeping the toes flipped down and only go as far as your not squashing the toes or feeling the ankles roll or weaken. This requires strong metatarsals and strong ankles, so only do if you have tried before unless you’re with a teacher - I don’t want anyone rolling their ankles because that just isn’t good 😅. .
